Introduction

funding priorities and grant making guidelines.
About The Foundation
The Nordson Corporation Foundation is the successor to The Nordson
Foundation, which was created in 1952 by Walter G. Nord, founder
of Nordson Corporation. In 1988, the original foundation was reorganized
to create the Nord Family Foundation and The Nordson Corporation
Foundation.
Today, The Nordson Corporation Foundation consolidates philanthropic
resources dedicated by Nordson Corporation to address community
needs. Like its predecessor, The Nordson Corporation Foundation
operates on the belief that business, as a corporate citizen, has
a social responsibility to share its success with the communities
where it operates and draws employees. Since 1989, the Foundation
has awarded over $19 million in grants.
Asymtek has awarded more than $200,000 to local non-profit organizations
since 1998. View an Approved

the recipient organization and does not participate in fundraising
activities.

Organizations whose services are not provided within the foundation's
geographic areas of interest
Direct grants or scholarships to individuals

How Funds Are Allocated
The foundation board of trustees determines how funds are allocated
based on written grant applications submitted by the applicants.
The trustees meet four times a year -- usually in January, April,
July and October -- to allocate funds.
How To Apply For A Grant
The Nordson Corporation Foundation has developed an application
form that must be completed in order for an organization to be considered
for a grant. Applications can be obtained by written request or
by contacting a foundation staff member in Westlake, Ohio; Atlanta,
Georgia; or Carlsbad, California. Or, if you prefer, you can access
a copy of this document by clicking on Grant Application link below.
All grant applications must be mailed. Please include one original
and one copy of the application form, a current 501(c)(3) statement
of tax exemption and a list of your organization's officers and
trustees with their affiliations.
To ensure that grant requests are for purposes within the foundation's
priorities and are appropriately considered, organizations are encouraged
to contact a foundation staff member before submitting an application.
Completed applications and attachments must be received eight weeks
prior to the trustee meetings. Application deadline:
May 15. All organizations will be notified
in writing of decisions made with regard to their requests.
