Designs and analyzes multi-order control, linear, non‑linear systems for mission critical applications. Normal work assignments involve describing and simulating control plants mathematically using either MathCAD or MATLAB/Simulink, working with electrical and firmware engineers to implement real-time control algorithms on robotic systems, and analyzing/iterating to refine system performance. In addition, the candidate will design algorithms for trajectory path following with optimizations for both speed and following error. Excellent mathematical skills (PhD level) are essential as is proficiency with numerical methods, statistics and experimental design. In this team based environment, excellent written English communication skills are required to document analysis, communicate algorithms with design engineers and record verification/validation tests.

  The ideal candidate will have:
 
  • PhD in Control Engineering from a major US University
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 10 technical papers published in recognized control journals or conferences
  • 5 years of relevant design experience
  • Experience designing in a structured (DOD or similar) environment
  • Proficiency in optimal filter control filter design, numerical optimizations, and stochastic/random processes

Develop and manage product and market plans for the assigned programs in the New Business Development (NBD) group. Investigate new market potentials, manage marketing surveys, marketing services, market analyses and provide recommendations on how to proceed in new markets. Based on results, develop a business plan for the new business describing market potential, basic product specifications, and sales channel in sufficient detail to sell the new business internally to new product development or to the business units.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide the market direction and analysis for New Business Development programs.
  • Provide the new business’s basic product development and dispensing technology roadmap
  • Provide new business program forecasts and market potential analyses.
  • Work with the assigned engineering team to develop the product specifications, product design, and verification of product performance
  • Develop and manage marketing of the product through the trade shows and/or other venues.
  • Develop the initial sales tools and marketing plans for product introduction.
  • Sell the product to specific customers and/or manage sales through the field sales force.
  • Manage the commercial interface between the engineering team, sales and service on initial installations of the new product.
  • Transition new business development programs into Asymtek’s business units.
  • Participate in key industry worldwide organizations in our marketplace as director, chairman, etc
  • Occasionally, investigate, recommend and participate in finding potential acquisition targets for new business development.

The applicant must exhibit excellent teamwork and work in a matrix managed organization. The individual must have an excellent understanding of the electronics, semiconductor, high technology, and emerging technology industry’s capital equipment needs and trends. The person must have high-level management experience in international sales, marketing and/or engineering in the electronics industry with a company with sales greater than $40M. The person must have the technical ability to learn how to use the product, recognize the customer’s use model and be able to communicate the customer’s needs to an engineering team. The person should be recognized as knowledgeable and credible in the industry in some facet of the electronics industry.

  • BS 4 year degree.
  • International marketing experience.
  • MBA with Marketing Focus or equivalent business experience
  • 10 or more years of direct experience working with capital equipment sales and marketing with a company that had at least $40M in sales.
  • Skill in computer software for spreadsheet analysis, scheduling, presentations and word processing.

Responsible for interfacing with customers, company sales and service representatives to handle a variety of pre-sales and post-sales functions. Determines the status of equipment returns, repairs, replacements, sales orders, delivery schedules, and change orders. Handles Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and order entry. Maintains records of returns, schedule changes, product enhancements or changes, product pricing and resolves credit problems and on-time delivery credits. Routine contact with key customers, internal department personnel, sales representatives, manufacturing, material control, accounting and shipping personnel.

Ongoing duties include consignment and excess inventory management; and tracking volume discounts. Responsible for quote log, automating and updating Recommended Spares Lists; and managing acceptance certificates. Also responsible for adhoc report maintenance and reporting of order status, customer forecasts, shipments/backlog, RMA discrepancies, excess inventory, warranty RMA status, monthly Intel business and others as needed.

The Customer Service Specialist works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. Normally receives no instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments. Requires customer service experience, reading, writing, basic arithmetic, good communication skills, PC and word processing skills, and knowledge of company products. Bachelors degree in a business related field is required and five years of experience in a customer service/sales organization.

Is responsible for process development, documentation, and training in the areas of Inventory Control. Areas of responsibility include obsolete, excess, and no usage inventory, cycle count, ECO process management, and inventory accuracy. Is responsible for inventory integrity using various methods including transaction documentation, process verification, cycle counts, root cause analysis, and system review. Monitors and spot checks inventory accuracy and identifies developing trends. Gathers and publishes inventory statistics in the form of charts and reports. Conducts physical inventories and cycle counts. Analyzes and corrects cycle count discrepancies. Compiles and documents transactions for data entry. Manages ECO process, as it impacts inventory control. Trains other in inventory control processes. Coordinates with other departments of in house inventory relating to accuracy, safety stock levels, classification and obsolescence review.

  The ideal candidate will have:
 
  • Bachelors degree in Business or Materials or APICS certification
  • Minimum 1 year inventory control and/or material planning in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel Charts and Graphs
  • Strong written and oral communication, organizational, and math skills
  • Understanding of warehouse/distribution processes
  The successful candidate may also have a combination of the following:
 
  • Proficient with MRP or ERP system, Dataflo preferred
