Hosts Electronics Packaging Workshop at I-Shou University in Taiwan Carlsbad,
CA Asymtek, together with IMAPS Taiwan and SMTA Taiwan, recently
hosted an electronics packaging workshop at the I-Shou University in Kaohsiung,
Taiwan. The one-day seminar addressed such topics as Packaging Encapsulation and
Reliability, 3-D Packaging, and Jetting of Underfill and SMA materials. Asymtek's
Chief Scientist, Horatio Quinones, was the featured speaker. Over 250 industry
professionals and graduate students from the University's Electrical, Electronics
and Material Departments attended, including Y.J. Huang, the Director of I-Shou's
Computer Center. Researchers, engineers and management from Taiwan's leading electronic
manufacturing companies were also among the attendees. "Participants gained
valuable knowledge of today's leading-edge technologies from Dr. Quinones' experience,"
explained Dr. Shen-Li Fu, I-Shou University's President. "We are excited
by the high level of enthusiasm demonstrated at the workshop." The electronics
packaging event is part of a series of seminars organized by Asymtek in the Pacific
