SANYO Electric Company, Ltd. Selects Asymtek Dispensers
to Equip PCB Facilities
 Carlsbad,
CA - SANYO Electric Company, Ltd., a world-leading supplier
of electronic components for the personal telecommunications market,
recently purchased two Asymtek Millennium® M-620
dispensing systems to equip their Printed Circuit Board facility
in Osaka, Japan. According to Mr. Kuriyama, General Manager of SANYO's
Production Engineering Department, production throughput and quality
of their PCB manufacturing process improved immediately upon installation.
"Prior to purchasing the two Asymtek units, three people and
eight competitor's machines were necessary to complete a CSP underfill
application, " he explained. "With the addition of Asymtek's
M-620 dispensing units, only one person is now required
to run the program." Total tact time of the 15mm x 15mm CSP
for a cellular phone is 30 seconds, including conveyor time. SANYO
also purchased three Asymtek dispensing units for their plants in
Tianjin, China and Penang, Malaysia and plans to buy more systems
in the future.
