Alec Babiarz Accepts Invitation to
Join IPC's APEX 2003 Committee
Carlsbad, CA - Asymtek's Senior Vice
President, Alec Babiarz, has accepted the invitation to join IPC's
steering committee for APEX 2003. APEX is the largest U.S. electronics
assembly tradeshow and has become a premier conference and exhibition
for electronics assemblers and users. As a committee member, Babiarz
will contribute his more than 20 years of electronics assembly experience
to create perhaps the finest technical exhibition this industry
will experience in 2003.
"APEX is a very important show for our industry," explained
Babiarz. "Through extraordinary key note speakers, technical
panel discussions, and educational seminars, the IPC has created
a forum where attendees are able to learn from each other, which
facilitates technological innovation. I am honored to be a part
of the committee."
Babiarz is Senior Vice President of Asymtek and Vice President
of New Business Development for Nordson Corporation. One of the
founders of Asymtek, Babiarz is co-developer in 3 patents on equipment
and apparatus for fluid dispensing and has written over 16 articles
and technical papers on fluid dispensing. At Asymtek, he actively
participates in new product development and is responsible for worldwide
business development, sales, and marketing. Babiarz has a BSE from
Arizona State University and two master's degrees (MSME and MSEE)
from Stanford University. Prior to Asymtek, he was project manager
at Hewlett-Packard, working on ink jet technology for printers and
plotters.
APEX, which opened in 2000, was organized by IPC's SMEMA Council
in response to an industry need for a trade show that is cost-effective
for exhibitors and highly focused on the products and technology
of the electronics assembly industry. This approach, coupled with
a premier conference program that is organized by the industry,
delivers an attractive package to exhibition visitors. APEX features
all segments of the electronics assembly industry, from bare boards
to tested assemblies, and is the only show in North America that
showcases machinery from every major pick-and-place equipment manufacturer.
Celebrating 20 years of success in 2003, Asymtek supplies award-winning
automated fluid dispensing systems to customers worldwide. Specializing
in semiconductor, surface mount, and electronics packaging applications,
they are committed to provide total dispensing solutions and local
support. Find out more on their Web site at: http://www.asymtek.com.
