Asymtek Hosts Conformal Coating and Electronics
Applications Dispensing Seminars
in the Eastern U.S. and Europe
Carlsbad, CA - Asymtek, together with fluid suppliers
Emerson & Cuming, Dow Corning, Hereaus, Humiseal, Lackwerke
Peters, Henkel Loctite, Shin-Etsu, Concoat Ltd. and Schenectady-Beck
recently held seminars in Westford, Massachusetts, USA and Maastricht,
the Netherlands featuring conformal coating and dispensing for electronics
applications. Each of the two-day events included presentations
and hands-on demonstrations of the most recent developments in conformal
coating, fluid jetting, and ultra-small dot dispensing from both
material and equipment perspectives.
Attendees reported the sessions were informative, well organized
and offered valuable knowledge of today's leading edge technologies.
"The event was very worthwhile and provided an excellent networking
activity," explained one of the participants. "It was
really great, and I learned a lot," commented another of the
more than 100 visitors from Europe.
Day one, Conformal Coating Technology Day, featured advancements
in the conformal coating process and the latest coating formulations.
Participants brought in their sample applications and learned how
to select, apply and cure coatings. Day two, Microelectronics &
Assembly Day, addressed fluid jetting, dispensing electrically conductive
adhesives for die attach applications, Chip Scale Packaging, encapsulation,
underfill and flex circuit manufacturing.
The free seminars are part of a series organized by Asymtek this
year in the U.S., Europe and the Pacific Rim. The Netherlands event
was held June 18-19; the Massachusetts seminar, June 25-26. For
