Asymtek and Plexus Discuss Medical
Device Assembly using Jet Dispensing at SMTA Medical Electronics
Symposium
Carlsbad, CA - Asymtek Product Manager Steve
Adamson and Plexus Senior Staff Process Engineer Todd Woods
co-presented the paper, "Medical Device Assembly using
Jet Dispensing for Underfill and Encapsulants," during
the SMTA Medical Electronics Symposium in Minneapolis, Minnesota
on May 19, 2004. During the session on Manufacturing Techniques
and Requirements, Adamson and Woods reviewed how jetting fluid
materials, like underfill, can accommodate the assembly of
ever-smaller implantable medical devices, such as pace makers
and hearing aids.
