Asymtek Appoints Chris Marion Business Unit Manager
Carlsbad , CA – Asymtek recently promoted Chris Marion to Business Unit Manager for their Axiom and Millenniumautomated fluid dispensinglines. Mr. Marion’s primary responsibility in his new position is to lead the business unit, making sure quality products are delivered on time and according to customer expectations. In addition to overseeing the production and engineering departments, he is also responsible for developing new product plans based on market feedback.
Mr. Marion, a 10-year Asymtek employee, recently held the position of Factory Manager for March Plasma Systems (Asymtek’s sister company), where he successfully transitioned March manufacturing operations from Concord, California to Asymtek’s Carlsbad headquarters. Prior to that, he held the position of Asymtek’s Millennium Group Engineering Manager. Mr. Marion started his career at Asymtek as a Field Service Engineer, supporting customers worldwide.
“Chris’ in-depth technical and business knowledge and experience in the field make him the ideal candidate to lead this advanced product business unit,” explains Martin Stone, Vice President of Operations at Asymtek. “He clearly understands the needs of our customers and the future direction of the markets.” Mr. Marion earned his B.S. in Engineering from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, and an M.B.A. in 2002 from California State University, San Marcos.
