Asymtek’s Spectrum Series Enables Precision Dispensing
for New Product Development Applications, R&D, and Batch Production
Carlsbad , CA – Asymtek’s Spectrum™ S-820 Series Dispensing System offers precision dispensing for new product development and R&D labs. Released in February 2005 for use in batch production operations such as jetting underfill for flip chips and chip scale packages, Spectrum systems are now being used in R&D labs for developing processes worldwide and for jetting many different types of materials.
Because it uses Asymtek’s Fluidmove® for Windows XP® software, the dispensing programs and processes port directly to Asymtek’s in-line Axiom™ systems. The newly-designed enclosure increases functionality by providing clear front, top and side panels for easy viewing while dispensing, easy access to parts in the dispense area, and user safety. In addition, a built-in vertical syringe holder increases productivity by providing a queue for thawing material prior to use during the production process.
The closed-loop S-820 system design accommodates a wide range of fluids, processes, and substrates used in semiconductor packaging and assembly. The Spectrum easily integrates with most jets, pumps and valves from Asymtek, including the DispenseJet® DJ-9000 and Heli-flow® DV-7000 valve. It provides exceptional dispensing accuracy, repeatability and versatility -- from jetting lines of dots on-the-fly with the DJ-9000 to dispensing silver paste with the DV-7000.
