Asymtek’s New “In-Cell Flipper” for Conformal Coating Saves Production Time
Carlsbad , CA – Asymtek introduces the In-Cell Flipper, a new productivity-enhancing option available for one- or two-sided selective conformal coating of circuit boards. The In-Cell Flipper reduces convey time by inverting (flipping) the board inside the coating cell, enabling bottom side coating within Asymtek’s in-line Century® conformal coating systems. Flipping the board within the coating system saves ten to twenty seconds production time when compared to an external inverter with a single coating system. Without the flipper, users would need to coat, remove the board, flip it and return to the conformal coating equipment or two pieces of equipment would be required.
he In-Cell Flipper saves floor space and the need for additional training, spare parts and setup associated with external board handling equipment. Asymtek will demonstrate the new option on their Century C-740 conformal coating system at APEX, booth #2353, in Anaheim.
